Account and privacy
This notice explains what information The Grand Alignment Learning uses when someone chooses to create an account, and how they can request help or deletion.
Effective August 3, 2026Public courses do not require an account. If someone creates one, we collect their display name, email address, selected learning role, account-creation date, and technical records needed to maintain a signed-in session. A password is stored only as a protected one-way value; we do not store the readable password.
We use account information to enable return access, protect sign-in, respond to support requests, and—as the relevant features are released—maintain a person’s learning and professional-development records. We do not sell personal information.
An account by itself does not create a certificate or professional record. Professional-development records will be connected only to activities, assessments, and teaching-practice evidence that the platform identifies as required.
We share personal information only with providers that operate the site and its infrastructure, when needed to respond to a person’s request, or when required by law. We retain an account until the person requests deletion, except where limited information must be retained for security, compliance, or an already-issued professional record.
We use reasonable measures to protect account information, including protected passwords and time-limited browser sessions. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security; people should also protect their password and never share it.
Public educational content may be used with appropriate teacher, parent, or guardian supervision. Accounts are for adults or for parents and guardians who create them; we do not ask children to create personal accounts.
To request help, correct account information, or request deletion, email rtrois@the-grand-alignment.org. Do not send a password by email. We may update this notice as site features change.
