Why this path brings these areas together

People regularly encounter pay information, bills, online risks, medical instructions, healthcare decisions, and unfamiliar systems. Independent Life Essentials brings these critical areas together into one focused learning journey designed for practical use in everyday life.

Learn in English or Spanish, with practical activities and a final challenge in each course. Start with Money; complete each challenge to unlock the next part. The full path is designed for about three and a half hours.

The guided learning journey

Begin with Money, then continue to Digital Life and Healthcare. Each part opens when you complete the previous course’s final challenge.

How the three and a half hours are arranged

Plan for about 75 minutes of money foundations, 60 minutes of digital safety, and 75 minutes of healthcare navigation. Pause and return when you need to.

    Investigate a paycheck, fund a bill calendar, and build and revise a working budget. No prior course is required.

  2. Protect Your Digital Life

    Practice safer account access, protect personal information, and recognize suspicious messages. Opens after Money.

  3. Understanding Healthcare

    Read healthcare information, organize useful questions, and prepare for care decisions. Opens after Digital Life.
